Mixed Metal Antiqued Sterling Silver & Brass Hand Hammered Coin Disc Earrings ·
These antiqued brass & Sterling Silver coins were hand hammered for texture, formed and shaped into gentle concave discs, then suspended from handmade Sterling silver hook style ear wires.
I oxidized (aged/antiqued) the sterling silver and brass for this piece to a dark charcoal patina, then brushed and polished the metals to a finish with both matte and shiny highlights. This creates a natural, organic finish with depth and a rustic feel.

The Sterling Silver used in making these earrings is recycled Sterling Silver constructed from scrap and re-torched to form & shape.

These earrings are a wonderful little on a regular basis earring with a minimalist and versatile design and a organic, boho aesthetic.
